Merging folk and jazz into a wholly unique R&B sound, the UK’s Spang Sisters have dropped ‘Eddie Murphy’. It’s a breakup song, but with more reference to Eddie Murphy than might be typical: “One antidote seems to be an extraneous and seemingly irrelevant source. In this case, it is an Eddie Murphy movie.” The track comes with a music video, told with a fish finger and a sausage in the leading roles, which will be screened at the London Short Film Festival in January 2021. It might be the duo’s first single and the first single from their very own label, Bathtime Sounds, but there is a lot of great music on the horizon. -Dan Peeke
